A month-long community pumpkin patch raising money for Mission Hope Cancer Center
What Is Pinktober?
- An annual Toyota Santa Maria tradition every October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month)
- A pumpkin patch set up right on our dealership lot
- Employees, volunteers and community members paint pumpkins with messages of hope and positivity to help battle and beat cancer
- Every dollar raised goes to Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria
How It Works: Donation-Only Pumpkins
- No price tags - every pumpkin is donation-based
- Give $1 or $1,000, and take as many pumpkins as you want
- Every pumpkin is hand-painted by our team and community volunteers

Pumpkins & Wine Fundraiser Kick-of
Monday, September 28, 4:00-6:30 pm, Toyota Upstairs Area. Volunteers paint decorative pumpkins for the patch and enjoy complimentary wine and appetizers.
Pumpkin Painting: Pumpkins for a Cause
Friday, October 9, 5:00-7:00 pm, Toyota Upstairs Area. Volunteers paint decorative pumpkins for the patch and enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages.

Where the Money Goes
- All proceeds go to Mission Hope Cancer Center, Santa Maria
- Mission Hope sits on the Marian Regional Medical Center campus and is theregion's only advanced comprehensive cancer care center
- Funds go through the Marian Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Marian RegionalMedical Center
- Per Mission Hope, Pinktober proceeds support patient assistance, programs andservices, and advanced equipment and technology
Our Impact
- Pinktober typically raises $10,000-$15,000 each year
- 2021: $16,000 donated to Mission Hope (per Dignity Health press release)
