Certified Pre-Owned Toyota Models Come with Low Mileage, Excellent Condition, and Great Benefits

Car shoppers near Orcutt and San Luis Obispo often look for two primary characteristics in a car: value and quality. Where the two intersect, Toyota certified pre-owned vehicles lie. Boasting like-new condition with a pre-owned price tag, CPO Toyota and Scion models are a great way to get the most for your money when buying a car.

At Toyota of Santa Maria, we proudly sell certified pre-owned Toyota vehicles. Varying in model, body style, mileage, price, and more, our CPO inventory offers low-mileage, late-model options at affordable pricing for a variety of driver types. From commuting with the Camry to rock crawling with the Tacoma, our certified pre-owned Toyotas can serve the diverse lifestyles around Lompoc and Arroyo Grande.

How Does a Pre-Owned Toyota Earn Certification?

Age and Mileage: For a used Toyota to be considered for certification, it must be a late model year with low mileage. Specifically, it must be six years old or newer and have 85,000 miles or less on the clock.

CARFAX Vehicle History Report: Every vehicle must have a detailed history report from CARFAX. If it's not up to date, or if there's a problem in the car's past, it won't be eligible for certification.

160-Point Inspection: Qualified Toyota technicians will pour over the details of every model before it receives certification. They'll look for defects in materials, mechanical systems, safety, and more. If a defect can't be fixed, the car won't receive certification.

What Does a Certified Pre-Owned Toyota Come With?

Two Warranties: The first, a 12-month, 12,000-mile comprehensive warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. The second, a seven-year, 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, covers components involved with making the vehicle move (engine, transmission, etc.). The powertrain warranty starts at the initial sale date of the vehicle and lasts until seven years after or until the odometer reads 100,000 miles.

One Year of Roadside Assistance: If you're stuck in a tight spot, roadside assistance can help. The program starts the day you purchase your CPO Toyota and covers most services like flat tires, jump starts, towing, and more.

Reconditioning: After the inspection, Toyota technicians will take time to bring the vehicle up to the manufacturer's strict CPO standards. They'll make sure it has new components like tires, air filters, brake pads, and more.
