The New Toyota Crown: A Distinctive and Remarkably Stylish Sedan
With the Crown, Toyota has given its customers another sedan to consider. The Crown is a sporty car with plenty of power, and it comes with modern technology and an excellent safety package. If you're looking for something practical that's also stylish and upscale, the Crown might be the right choice.
Performance
When driving the Crown, you can do so confidently. This car comes standard with a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine that works with electric motors. This hybrid system can deliver a total of 236 horsepower. The Platinum is upgraded with a turbocharged 2.4L engine. This engine has also been paired with an electric motor; these components can generate 340 horsepower through Oceano. These numbers have helped the Crown attract a lot of attention since it made its debut. Driving the car even more intriguing is its standard all-wheel-drive system. This can be useful when accelerating, cornering, and dealing with rugged terrain.
Hybrid Efficiency
As you would expect from a hybrid, the Crown does very well regarding fuel efficiency. The XLE and Limited can earn up to 42 miles per gallon in the city and 41 miles per gallon on the highway. The more powerful Platinum can make up to 29 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the roads of Arroyo Grande.
Trim Levels and Features
We carry three trims of the 2023 Toyota Crown at our dealership. The XLE is an entry-level model that has many impressive amenities. The Limited is next to consider, followed by the high-end Platinum.
These trims benefit from LED Daytime Running Lights, taillights, and headlights. The Limited and Platinum get to have panoramic roofs, which can let more natural light into the cabin. If it gets too warm, the power sunshade can block the sun so that you can take a break from the heat. Consider getting a Crown with a two-tone exterior color if you'd like to drive a car that stands out more on the roads around Santa Maria.
Interior
The cabin of the Crown offers a nice amount of room. You'll have plenty of space in the front to stretch your legs; in the back, there are about 39 inches of leg room. Conveniently, the rear seatback comes with a 60/40 configuration; this gives you flexibility when you have to make more space for cargo. Toyota has given the Crown some great features, such as a leather shift knob, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. This brings things to a different level in terms of luxury. The XLE has fabric upholstery and power-adjustable front seats, while the other two trims have leather and heated and ventilated front seats. They also have heated rear seats.
Technology
Toyota has set up the Crown with a 12.3-inch center display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is SiriusXM. The top two trims will treat you to an 11-speaker JBL sound system, which includes a subwoofer and an amplifier. All trims are fortunate to have wireless charging and 12.3-inch digital instrument clusters. Each Crown has one USB-A charge port and four USB-C charge ports.
Safety
The Crown shines in terms of safety. The Toyota Safety Sense package can sense potential frontal collisions and help you stay in your lane. Other standard components include road sign assist, emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. You may also have a panoramic view monitor if you get one of the higher trims.
