At Toyota of Santa Monica, we're fortunate to carry several high-quality Toyota vehicles. Our inventory includes several SUVs, all of which are very reliable. Many of our Los Angeles customers need models that have a lot of interior space. And that is exactly what the Toyota Grand Highlander provides.
If this is what you're looking for, you can check out the Highlander, 4Runner, and Sequoia. We'll soon be able to offer another model. It's called the Toyota Grand Highlander, and it's almost ready to hit the streets in Arroyo Grande. It will be released as part of the 2024 model year, and you might be able to get one of the vehicles this summer.
The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is a very spacious three-row SUV. It has a generous amount of cargo space, and it can fit plenty of gear even if eight passengers are riding together in the cabin. It's definitely a vehicle that you can count on, as it has impressive power and advanced safety systems as you make your way along the Central Coast.
It can come with a hybrid MAX powertrain that will give you great capability while being efficient as you cruise around Oceano. It has a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds and can generate up to 362 horsepower.
Some customers have started to ask us questions about the new Grand Highlander, so we thought it'd be helpful if we went over a few of those questions in this overview.
Q: How much bigger is the Toyota Grand Highlander than the Highlander?
A: While both SUVs have three rows of seats, they're not the same size. The Grand Highlander is the larger of the two models. You'll notice differences when you look at the back halves of these two Toyota models. The Grand Highlander offers 33.5 inches of legroom in its third row, which may accommodate taller riders in the back. In contrast, the Highlander's third row comes with 28 inches of legroom.
The cargo capacities of these SUVs also differ. The dedicated cargo hold in the back of the Highlander has a volume of 16 cubic feet. That same area in the Grand Highlander has a volume of 20.6 cubic feet. The maximum cargo capacity of the Grand Highlander is 97.5 cubic feet, which is a little more than the Highlander's cargo capacity of 84.3 cubic feet.
Q: How many seats does the Grand Highlander have?
A: The Grand Highlander can seat up to eight people. It can fit two people in the front row, three people in the middle row, and three people in the back row. Note that many trims of the Grand Highlander may only have room for seven. That's because they have captain's chairs in their middle rows.
Some people prefer SUVs with captain's chairs because it opens up their cabins. The nice thing is that you can choose whether to get a seven-passenger or eight-passenger Grand Highlander, depending on your needs and preferences.
Q: Which is bigger, then Sequoia or the Grand Highlander?
A: The Toyota Sequoia is a little bigger than the Grand Highlander in terms of maximum cargo capacity. When all of its rear seats have been folded down, it has 86.9 cubic feet of cargo capacity. This is about 2.5 cubic feet more than what the Grand Highlander offers.
When you look at the third row of the Sequoia, you'll notice that it can easily slide back and forth. If it's pushed all the way back, it gives passengers 33.7 inches of legroom, which is slightly more than the Grand Highlander's third-row legroom. If it's pushed all the way forward, it has 28.1 inches of legroom.
