Hiking in Santa Maria CA

The trails in the Orcutt Hills are multi-use between hiking, running, cycling, equestrian and dogs. The 3.1-mile trail loop shows a perfect view of the Santa Maria valley and is great for beginners. There are park benches scattered throughout the trail to take breaks. Make sure to bring along some water as there are no water fountains along the trial.
This park offers 154 acres of grassy lawn, picnic areas along with both hiking and biking trails. Other features to take advantage of include frisbee golf, ball fields, BBQ grills, bird watching and a playground. Hours at this park are from 8:00 a.m. until sunset. If you plan on bringing a party, there are plenty of areas in Waller Park to reserve that range in price.
Los Flores Ranch Park
The Los Flores Ranch Park is an astounding 1,778 acres or roughly 2.8 square miles. This park offers a mixture of environmental education, land preservation and recreation and about eight miles of hiking trails to take advantage of. There are also guided tours every second Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
